The “Run with the Fools”
(A brief History)
2008 is the forth year of this annual event. The “Run with The Fools” event is aimed towards the Motorcycle Enthusiast community, but, open to everyone.
In 2005 “Fools Life” held the first Event, then called “Fun with the Fools”, to raise Money for “Emma Huff”. Little Emma was a victim of Child abuse and suffered irreparable Brain Damage that will affect her life. The proceeds from the event were used to take care of Emma’s special needs.
In 2006 the Name of the event was changed to the “Run with the Fools” benefiting the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Jewish Family Services. Two key Organizations that helped Emma.
Being involved with Emma and seeing “First Hand” the effects of child abuse really touched us. In 2007 we decided to make “Childhelp” our cause.
“Childhelp is a non-profit organization whose mission is to meet the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of abused, neglected and at-risk children. Childhelp is not affiliated with Child Protective Services, any governmental agency, political party, religious denomination, or any other entity, organization or institution. Although Childhelp promotes the right of children to be free from abuse and neglect, we do not endorse or oppose any political or legislative action, or affiliate with any outside organization. Our primary purpose is to focus our efforts on advocacy, prevention, treatment and community outreach.”
The Childhelp National Headquarters is located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
This years event is shaping up to be the biggest yet and with several bands the event is turning into a Music Festival! The event is being held on Saturday, September 27 in Rock Springs, Arizona, (Just North of Phoenix).

6th Annual "Uncorked" Wine and Food Tasting Event;

The Arizona Council on Economic Education is hosting its 6th Annual "Uncorked" Wine and Food Tasting Event on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort. This event will feature renowned Valley chefs and prominent vintners along with a silent and live auction. Last year, ACEE raised more than $46,000 at this event and attracted more than 350 people; this year they anticipate both of those numbers to increase. All proceeds go to benefit ACEE education and community outreach programs. Tickets prices are $80, $150 per couple, and $800 for a table of 10. 1130 The Restaurant is hosting "Paws on the Garden" in the Arizona Center grass area outside of their restaurant on May 10, 2008 from 11am - 3 pm. For $10 each dog receives a 3 course "doggie" meal (yes, they really are Vet approved dishes) and humans can order their food from the lunch menu. It is a fun and interesting way to spend the afternoon dining with your canine companion. There will be a raffle, silent auction, grooming and microchipping.
